Nancy Nahm, Pianist
Pianist Nancy has over 20 years of teaching experience. She received her
Teaching License from the Boston Conservatory and her Master's Degree from
Teachers College, Columbia University. She attended Interlochen Arts
Academy in Michigan.
Influenced by her experience of teaching music to young children, she went
on to CU to learn more. She became interested in the research on the
positive effects music education has in human development & early
childhood. It reflected her own personal teaching philosophies and beliefs
she discovered while working with young children & music-making.
Using her unique insight gained through this formal education and by having
worked directly with students of all ages, Nancy has found a way to share
her passion for music-making that serves to inspire a wide range of
individuals. Her students have encompassed the very young all the way
through to adulthood, proving a love for music can last a lifetime no
matter when one begins to learn.
Nancy has been formally recognized for her understanding of how to teach
younger, older students, and adults. She had also been lauded for her own
personal excellence, professionalism, effectiveness, creativity, and
dedication both as a teacher and a performer.
