Helga K. Westerhoff, a Drew University graduate, is the Founder and Executive Director of the Westerhoff School of Music & Art (WSMA). The school was founded in September 1998. She is a violinist and has always been passionately involved with the Arts, especially music. She has performed in several orchestras in New Jersey, New York, Maine and Switzerland. Before founding WSMA she was involved in various music venues: church solos, Nutley Boy Choir, Symphony Librarian for the Westfield Symphony Orchestra, School of American Ballet and Opus 118 (a violin program for NYC public school students). For the past 15 summers she has continually become more involved with participation in an arts association, the Rangeley Friends of the Arts (RFA) in Rangeley, Maine. The annual summer WSMA faculty concerts, in conjunction with the RFA, are always successful cultural events. Starting the summer of 2017, the WSMA involvement with RFA was expanded to include a weeklong Summer Music Camp.
