The Art of Watercolor ( Tuesdays: June 5, 12, 19, 26)

Basic watercolor techniques, composition, color theory, and elements of design will be explored. This workshop encourages experimentation and self-discovery in a supportive environment that nourishes self-expression. We will be primarily focus on still lifes and landscapes, working from both objects and photographs. If weather permits, we can do some plein air painting. Demonstrations and critiques are incorporated into each session. Classes are ideal for beginners and intermediate art students.

Gouache/ Acrylic Workshop (Thursdays, June 21, 28 - July 12, 19)
11:00 - 1:00 PM
Basic gouache/acrylic techniques ( both water based paints), color theory, composition and elements of design will be included. This workshop will explore traditional and non-traditional approaches to working in these medias. We will be primarily painting from still life and photographs, but individual projects can be discussed with the instructor, if desired. Weather permitting we’ll we can include some plein air excursions. Demonstrations and critiques are incorporated into each class. Classes are ideal for beginners and intermediate art students.
