Please review the class details below before filling out the registration page at the bottom of this page. All art classes are taught by Preeti Singh IN PERSON at the school.
Ages 6 to 8:
We will introduce our youngest artists to techniques for drawing and self expression. This course will focus on drawing, with the goal of nurturing a love for art making. Students will learn important art terms, and discover contemporary and historical artists.
The following materials are recommended to have at home for virtual students: pencils, erasers, colored pencils, crayons or pastels, markers, drawing/sketching paper, colored paper, glue stick, and scissors. All materials will be provided.
Cost: $23.25 per class

Ages 9-13:
This course will focus on observational drawing and painting from life, with art materials that are easy to use at home. Alongside our observational work, we will explore alternative ways of inventing and constructing compositions with an emphasis on personal expression. Students will look at and discuss works by contemporary artists and from art history. The following materials are recommended to have at home for virtual students: pencils, erasers, colored pencils or pastels, watercolors, acrylic or tempera paint, drawing/sketching paper, and a heavier paper such as mixed-media or watercolor paper for working with wet media. In a few cases, students may be encouraged to purchase additional materials. All materials will be provided.

Ages 12+
Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture: This class will focus on and develop skills and concepts as in the 9-13 class, with additional time for exploring a wide variety of media and projects and working on portfolio development and independent projects. All materials will be provided.
Cost: $35.00 per class
Mondays, 5:30-7:00 P. M. for Covid-19 vaccinated students
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT FEES: Classes begin February 7, 2022 for 17 weeks and you will be charged for the full semester. Classes are only prorated for registrations after the start of the Spring Semester based on the date of the first class and will be charged according to the remaining number of classes/weeks in the semester.
